Time

Time goes slow when:
  • you are waiting in line at a store or for your turn in the bathroom
  • you are lifeguarding and your break is coming up
  • you teach a class in the little kids pool and one of your students is a wanderer/a puker, or doesn't listen, or keeps putting his or her head under the water every minute or so (there's always one in every class, I tell you)
  • you are running without music
  • you are in class, especially a science one
  • you are sun tanning

Time goes fast when:

  • you are lifeguarding and on your break
  • you are chatting on the computer
  • you are watching your favourite tv show
  • you start cleaning then decide to organize the many things in your room, make new outfits, or try on your dressy dresses
  • you are writing a paper
  • you talk on the phone with someone you haven't talked to in awhile

All the while time passes as fast as it always does...hum.

I believe that you are quite right. I'd even go as far as to say that there is a direct relationship between how slow the time goes and how much of a pain someone is ;).
